About the event


"Born from the Earth"


All life on Earth, including humans, originates from the soil. Quite literally, the energy and matter that make up our bodies are born from the soil and return to it in an endless cycle. In this workshop, we will delve deep into the soil, the very source of life.


Under the theme of "The Soil That Nurtured Us," we will discuss the role of soil, its life-giving power, and what soil is fundamentally.


As a plant distillation researcher, I, Maiko Saito, will conduct a workshop where we will extract the essence of life through distillation from nutrient-rich compost—essentially, baby soil. This will allow you to experience the source of life firsthand.


In collaboration with culinary researcher Ai Asada, we will also create macrobiotic dishes aligned with the theme, inviting you to savor the life force with all your senses.
